Finished a painting over the weekend. Well, It’s not quite finished; I’m having Mr Ford over tomorrow for advice on how to make the background a little more interesting in a backgroundish way.

In case you were wondering, the image is a meter by meter reproduction of the Dec 20th entry from my 2002 advent calendar — that can be found in the sitemap. That image was inspired by the notorious street artist Ol?, back when he was up to doing capricios on buildings with chalk–really cool stuff. He’s still at large with many others, doing fantastic street art that can be found all over the Neustadt and elsewhere.

On a tangent, that theme grew into a series of sketches which became a Valentine’s Ecard back in ought three — you can also find that somewhere in the site map — and ultimately a full-fledged song for Dude Dude Chick. So you see how the creative process can linger, or has its crutches, depending on your opinion.
