English Club

Once again, a pitch for English Club Dresden Neustadt. We meet every Wednesday evening at a different locale in the Neustadt and rap in English. We make other meetings as they arise.

Our humble yet quickly growing board is found (for the time being) at this domain here.

More bagels

Sam Lender, bagel tycoon, died last week at 84. Guess what I’m a-doing tonight.

Lender and his brother invented a flash freezing process for bagels, making bagels accessible any day of the weeks for WASPs everywhere.

“The poet is truly the thief of fire.” — Arthur Rimbaud, born today in 1854. Garrison writes:

He entered a regional poetry contest

Oh Boy oh Boy oh Boy

Finally getting down to business at the TU tomorrow morning. And I’ve really got to get this page back in shape.
Just a few quick note to my L1 kids:
–See that link to the right that says “presentation guidelines”? Ignore that. That’s not for y’all.
–If you are on the waiting list, show up anyway.
–If for some reason you didn’t sign up at all, show up anyway.
–Make sure the email address you supplied LSK online is correct and you check it regularly.

It’s Schooltime yet again

And I ought point out a few things… See those links to the right–>
?
Well, that pdf what with the presentation business only counts still for my L2.2 kids. My L1.1 chillun don’t have no presentation this semester. They only need worry about that reading comprehension test in January.

As for the book–yep –follow the link and declare yo’ country… That’s still–unfortunately– the book we’ll be using, among other materials… It won’t be so bad this year.

But just you wait until we get into that Japanese internet schoolgirl porn section… D’oh! Just fooling… that doesn’t come until the Z1…
